Biography[]
The man is among the patrons trapped in the Grocery Store when the Mist appears and engulfs the town outside. He becomes a follower of Mrs. Carmody right after the Scorpion-Flies and Pterobuzzards break into the store.
He is somewhat a loyal follower as Mrs. Carmody uses him as an example while preaching and seems to be always near her, but does not participate in the murder of Jessup due to his elderly age.
Three days into the disaster, when Mrs. Carmody's followers attempt to sacrifice Billy and Amanda, he cheers on them until Ollie shoots Mrs. Carmody, upon which he hides behind a rotating stand.
He is not seen watching David's group leave. The man was apparently rescued from the market and is very briefly glimpsed aboard one of the rescue trucks at the end.
